Design must be able to not only convey what the artist is depicting but also do it in a way which is perceived as genuinely graceful.
Unlike the previous gesture drawings which had a consistent line and weight for their entirety, these were done with changing pressure and thickness to the lines to better understand the depth of the face.
Unlike the previous blind contour studies, while drawing these I quickly looked, at most, three times at what I was drawing to visually reposition myself, creating a slightly less abstract image.
