The scrolling effect was made by shifting the images in photoshop using keyframe tweens. The patterns are non-vector based and stylized to look like Islamic pattern artwork, focusing on a stylized geometric motif.

This piece is meant to express loneliness and my understanding of loneliness is that it is a form of absence. I took pictures of empty area’s around my college campus and merged them using different layer effects and masks.
The 100 years project is suposed to show a transition between objects showing a form of progression. The point of this project was to combine different works of architecture into a single image. All of the images were cut out using the masking tool with different layer effects applied to certain images.
For this I took three different images and arranged them in this order: ababcacacbcb. I added a ladder of adjustment layers on different sides of the image, drawing the eye across the piece.
